Casas das Olas

Casas das Olas are located in the North of Portugal, in the village of Vilarinho de Souto, Ermelo, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, at the gates of the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Our houses were rebuilt from the ruins of old pre-existing cellars, from the beginning of the 19th century. At Casas das Olas you can enjoy a superb view over the Lima River, relax in the two swimming pools at your disposal or in the gardens surrounding the houses. You can also take a walk along the pedestrian paths in the oak forest that goes to the riverbank and get to know the village and the surrounding area. Casas das Olas is also a great place to read a good book or enjoy the board games that are available in all houses. In the Peneda-Gerês National Park, you can carry out a series of activities in contact with Nature, such as horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, fishing, etc. Located in the heart of Alto Minho region, Casas das Olas are a great starting point for visiting the north of Portugal, discovering the most typical and well-preserved Portuguese towns and villages, as well as other historical sites, and also enjoying the traditional and delicious gastronomy and green wine from this region.
